About the Books

Available Now! The Art of Redemption – The much-anticipated second novel in the Kate Barrow series

Stolen Ukrainian art and artifacts. A very personal connection.

Russia may have planned on a lot of things. But it never planned on her.

Kate Barrow, a contracts administrator at a major defense company, has a new contract; one that will support the US Army’s modern-day Monuments Men and Women. Even better, she’s been reunited with her favorite government contracting officer, Spencer Beckett.

She learns that Russia has stolen priceless Scythian gold artifacts and Ukrainian artwork from museums in occupied Ukrainian cities – possibly one of the largest thefts of its kind in history and second only to the Nazi looting of World War II.

She’s astonished to discover a personal connection to some of the looted art, which she fears will never be recovered.

Unless …

Declan O’Rourke, a wealthy Irish cyber expert, is only too happy to lend a hand. So is Yuri Zakharov, a mysterious Russian mathematics professor with an agenda of his own.

With time working against them, they devise an audacious plan. Yet all is not as it seems. There are those who would stop at nothing to keep the art and gold in Russian hands.

Loyalty can be fleeting. And betrayal can be deadly.

Saint of Lost Souls – The debut novel in the Kate Barrow series

Kate Barrow, a contracts administrator at a defense giant, has experienced more than her share of tragedy and heartbreak. After the sudden death of her parents, she gave up her dream archaeology job in the UK and moved back home to Northern Virginia. More recently, an ugly break-up has left her playing it safe in love, too.

All that’s about to change.

When Kate takes over a new contract following a colleague’s death, she realizes something isn’t right. She suspects the disturbing events that occur soon after her discovery are tied to what she’s learned. But are they? And if so, who’s behind them?

As she attempts to uncover the identity of the person who has it in for her, help comes from where she least expects it: Hicks, a retired Navy SEAL and owner of the gym that’s become her refuge; and Declan O’Rourke, a wealthy software developer with his own tragic past. With the help of Hicks, Declan, and some newfound allies, Kate races to find out the truth before it’s too late.

Like a lot of writers, I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. I started with short stories and essays and entered a few writing contests when I was younger.

No matter what’s been going on in my life, the writing has always been there. The stories and characters have changed over the years; some are dark, others are lighter and more upbeat. But I never stopped writing.

In January of 2023 I finally decided to take the leap, quit my full-time job and focused solely on finishing Saint of Lost Souls. And it’s hard to believe, but the second book in the series, The Art of Redemption, is about to be released!

I love Kate, Declan, Hicks, and all the characters you’ll meet or have met, and I’m not ready to let them go. I’m excited about the series I have planned with these wonderful folks – and of course, Finn, Jasper, and Luna. The novels wouldn’t be quite the same without them.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring my adopted town of Greenville, South Carolina. It’s a lovely place to live, work, and find inspiration.

Locations and Times TBD

So excited to share some photos from my April author meet-and-greet at the Barnes & Noble Shops at Greenridge, in Greenville, SC.
